Dan’s journey as a tattoo artist began with a pivotal moment in his life, where he was encouraged to embrace his artistic talents and seriously pursue a career in tattooing. Since then, he has been on a continuous quest for knowledge and techniques to further enhance his skills and provide his clients with exceptional artwork. Specializing in realistic black and gray tattoos, Dan has honed his expertise in soft edge work and portraits. By focusing on these areas, he has become able to deliver high-quality work that surpasses expectations. When he’s not tattooing, Dan finds solace in the serene Finger Lakes area of New York, where he resides with his wife and children. ​A rising star in the tattoo industry, Jack completed his apprenticeship under the guidance of Dan. After a brief hiatus, Jack has returned to the shop, fueled by his undying passion for tattooing. From a young age, Jack’s fascination with tattoos ignited a fire within him that has now become his life’s work. Inspired by the works of literary masters such as Edgar Allan Poe, H.G. Wells, and H.P. Lovecraft, Jack’s artistic style has been shaped by the beauty he finds in the duality of life. His Illustrative Blackwork and Gothic Themed Black and Gray tattoos embody this fascination, capturing the essence of skulls, flowers, coffins, and more.

Rob D.

Rob DPiazza is a Rochester-based tattoo artist at Legacy Tattoo Collective in Fairport, NY, specializing in bold color work, who enjoys doing traditional, neo-traditional, and illustrative styles. Tattooing full-time for over two years, Rob’s journey began in 2009 with Brian Wahl and has grown through self-teaching and mentorship from respected artists like Dana Morse, Jeff Burt, Kit Marlow, Kyle Mackenzie, Woo Jin, Cole Tiedemann, and Dan Walker. He’s also gained mentorship under artists Tony Medellin and Jake Parsons through advanced tattoo seminars. 

Rob joins Legacy with a strong passion for tattooing and a clear determination to grow and evolve as an artist. With a deep respect for the craft and a drive to learn from every experience, Rob is committed to pushing his skills forward every day. He brings a positive, team-oriented attitude and is excited to be part of a studio that values creativity, collaboration, and continuous growth. Whether he’s working on flash or custom designs, Rob is all about giving each client a piece they can wear with pride.

          Rob is the founder of the Flower City Tattoo Convention and has appeared on Inked Magazine’s Tattoo Artists React (Season 18) alongside Joey Perez.

Julian T.

Julian Trinchini is a talented tattoo artist bringing three years of professional experience to the team at Legacy Tattoo Collective. With a background in contemporary art and graphic design, Julian brings a well-rounded creative eye to every project — blending artistic composition, color theory, and craftsmanship into each tattoo he creates.

Rooted in the traditions of tattooing, his work features bold colors, clean lines, and classic American traditional influence, while maintaining a modern versatility that allows him to bring any client’s vision to life. Julian has also completed advanced training through seminars with Tony Medellin and Jake Parsons — two of the best in the game — further refining his technique and approach to timeless tattoo design.

Outside of tattooing, Julian enjoys creating flash tattoo designs, painting, and even crafting his own foot switches for tattoo machines, a testament to his hands-on dedication and deep appreciation for every aspect of the trade.

Michelle

Michelle’s love for piercing dates back to her teenage years, and that early passion has grown into a career built on precision, artistry, and care. She thrives on working closely with each client to achieve their desired results — from children experiencing their first ear piercing to adults embracing new self-expression at any age.

As the shop manager and lead piercer at Legacy Tattoo Collective, Michelle makes it her mission to ensure that everyone who walks through the door feels safe, comfortable, and cared for — whether they’re here for a piercing, a tattoo, or just to explore the shop’s jewelry collection. Her calm, professional approach helps clients of all ages feel confident and at ease throughout their experience.

When she’s not at the shop, you’ll find her surrounded by her family, five dogs, and a flock of chickens — usually with a book in hand or researching the latest advancements in piercing techniques and fine jewelry. Her dedication to growth and excellence recently led her to complete the Association of Professional Piercers’ Core Essentials, Volume 4 course, continuing her commitment to providing the safest and most professional service possible.

Michelle’s attention to detail, genuine care for her clients, and constant pursuit of excellence make her the go-to piercer for anyone seeking a safe, comfortable, and truly exceptional experience.
